The event will take place in Manchester at the De Vere ‘Mottram Hall’ Golf Club from 3 to 5 September 2012. Your initial response will form the basis for your Customs Administration’s entry to the event. In keeping with ECSA’s aim to strengthen ties between European customs administrations and promotion of sport and cultural cooperation the UK would like to foster and encourage wider participation in joint sporting activities – in this instance through GOLF. Participation Participation in the team Championship is open to members of the Customs Administrations of all ECSA member countries. Each Customs Administration is invited to send one or more teams of 4 players. Each player should have an officially recognised handicap, as the competition will be run in lines with R&A Governing rules. As host Organisers RCSL will reserve the right to limit the number of teams, subject to the Expressions of Interest received. Equally, if individual Customs Administrations are only able to nominate fewer than 4 team players RCSL may accept nominations of one, two or three individual players in order to make up composite teams. Team selection & format Ladies (F) and gentlemen (M) can represent the Customs Administration team. Each team will, however, be made up of two pairings: either M/M, F/F or M/F. Cumulative scores from both pairings will carry forward over two days of competition in support of the overall team champions. Day 1: Arrival & practice round, if required. There will be prizes for the overall European team champions, individual best pairs, as well as best pairs for each day of competition, and other combinations (for example, best M/M, F/F, M/F etc. for first to third place). There will also be fun prizes including Nearest the Pin and Longest Drives for both days.
